Amadores (2021) recycles the same script into a triptych of short films. Inspired by referential-only material and the concept of nostalgia, and Mark Fischer's long 90s, the three films are an ode to filmic stereotypes and the Trash genre. The term "amadores" was stolen from the Portuguese language, in which it means to be an amateur - or a lover. The film has its name for its amateurish and naive production, relying on friends' help and the shared love for the seventh art. In an attempt of creating a "fail-proof" project, following the philosophy of Camp, Amadores finds joy in its process instead of its outcome.
